Instructor Teaching Agreement
All instructors that
teach the ten-course study curriculum for the Seminary Advantage (“SA”) will be
treated as independent contractors. Each Instructor will be responsible to set
their own study schedule for their students. The minimum requirement is three
(3) hrs and twenty (20) min. per week of in class study, lecture and
interaction with their students. It is the intent of the SA to provide the
maximum impact of the ten-course study curriculum through the personal
interaction of the students and instructors. We hope to not only bring academic
understanding of biblical principles to light but to practically teach our
students in a real world setting the reality of what is required to be a
minister of the Gospel. We want our instructors to bring their real life
experience into the class room and share those experiences with their students,
equipping them for the challenges they will face as they step out into their
The Host Campus or the campus instructor at their choosing will receive compensation from SA to help cover the cost of providing a class environment and promoting SA. Instructors may receive compensation from the Host Campus or directly from SA. Any arrangement between the Host Campus and the instructor will be based on their arrangement. Host Campuses or the instructor are compensated based on student enrollment. SA will compensate the Host Campus or the instructor in the amount of $50 per student per course or $500 per student for those students who complete the entire SA 10 course program. This payment will be made within
the first 30 days of the beginning of each course curriculum based on payments received from the student. If a student has
elected an option payment plan and fails to make the committed payments, a
notification shall be sent to the instructor and the instructor and SA will
discuss the options on how to handle that student. No student will graduate
with an outstanding bill.
The instructor is responsible for making the necessary arrangements with the Host
Campus for access to the classrooms or teaching facility necessary for teaching
the SA course curriculum. The courses are designed to be taught over a 4 to 5
week period per course. One of the course studies will be a practicum in
Discipleship. We encourage in class discussion at near the end of each class once
the Discipleship Practicum has begun to encourage the students as well as giving
guidance as they continue their Discipleship roll. We would like to see our SA
students develop a lifestyle of discipling others. As a practicum we believe that
having the students meet with at least two other individual once a week to
develop a personal discipling relationship will begin a reproductive discipleship
model to help build up the local church body of believers. We suggest that this
practicum be carried out over the duration of the SA Course Curriculum.
There is no requirement for tests to be given unless the instructor
wishes to add or substitute this to the curriculum. If no substitution is implemented
by the Instructor the students will be required to show up for class,
participate in class discussion and answers the questions at the end of each
chapter in their workbooks. Students should maintain a notebook which can be
submitted for course credit. During the homiletics course, the instructors are
encouraged to allow time for each student to prepare and teach a selected
passage of scripture to the class. This can be an abbreviated study, showing
they have the ability to produce an introduction, body and conclusion.
This passage can be at the students choosing or the instructors. We encourage
class feedback along with class encouragement, as each student acquires and
develops their skill in communicating the Word of God.
Instructors will need to develop a means by which they can grade the students
based on their attendance, class participation, book work accomplished as well
as the practicum and preaching or other opportunities the Instructor may wish
to incorporate for each course taken. These grades are be forwarded by the
Instructor to Seminary Advantage’s base location at PO Box 511116 Punta Gorda,
Fl. 33951. These transcripts will be held on behalf of the students to be
provided to other institutions of learning in the event the student wishes to
pursue and further education. Student grades mat be submitted by email for convenience to email@example.com.
Instructors may be responsible for taxes due from income they receive from the Host Campus. The instructor is
an independent contractor and this agreement does not intend to created any employee
employer relationship between the instructors and SA. In the event an instructor
for reasons not yet determined cannot complete the teaching of the SA courses,
it is the responsibility of the instructor along with the Host Campus to find a satisfactory replacement
instructor, which must be approved by the SA and sign the same Instructor
Affiliation and Payment Agreement.
It is not the intention of the SA to promote any particular denomination over
another. It is the intent of the SA Program to explain and teach the scriptures
while adhering to the essential of the Christian Faith as stated in our
Statement of Faith. We wish for the student to have a solid foundation on which
to build. We encourage our instructors to help their students to develop a
active prayer life so as to help them in their understanding of the scriptures.
We believe that academics without the illumination of God can lead to legalism
and a prideful heart, because of the wealth of knowledge. These are the areas
in which we believe our instructors will be able to help their students the
most. Through practical life experience we would hope that our instructors have
recognized that knowledge puffs up if not directed by the Spirit of
We appreciate your desire to be a part of this vision and ministry. We are
excited that you wish to teach those, who in turn will teach others. We
are committed to produce students who are committed to reproduce. II Tim
and Statement of Faith
requires its instructors to affirm to the following Statement of Faith.
Instructors acknowledge their understanding of an agreement with these essential
truths which are vital to the gospel.
The Scripture of the
Old and New Testament (excluding those books commonly referred to as the
Apocrypha) are inspired, the only infallible, authorized Word of God.
There is one God,
eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Our Lord Jesus Christ
is God and man in one person. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life,
performed miracles, and vicariously atoned for sin through his shed blood and
death. He was bodily resurrected from the dead. He ascended to the right hand
of God the Father and will personally return in power and glory.
Regeneration by the
Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for salvation of lost and sinful people.
God justifies the
sinner on the basis of Christ’s righteousness alone, which is imputed to him by
grace alone and which is received by faith alone.
Eternal life is
received by faith: that is, trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
The Holy Spirit
indwells all true believers and enables them to live godly lives.
Both the saved and the
lost will be resurrected from the dead; they that are saved unto the
resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of
There is spiritual
unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
